TankTrasa Cookie Policy

1. What cookies are

Cookies are small text files stored by your browser when you use the TankTrasa website (tankomat.app). We use them to remember your choices (such as your cookie consent), keep you signed in, and — only with your consent — measure how the site is used. This policy covers the website; the iOS app is described in section 6.

2. Strictly necessary (functional) cookies — no consent required

The cookies below are required for core functionality and are not disabled by the consent banner.

• tankomat_cookie_consent— stores your choice in the cookie banner ("all" or "essential only") so we don't ask again on every visit. Lifetime: 1 year.
• tankomat_market — remembers your detected or selected market (country/language) so we can show the right prices and translations. Lifetime: 1 year.
• __Secure-next-auth.session-token and __Secure-next-auth.callback-url — keep you signed in (access to Garage, price alerts, and account settings). httpOnly and Secure, not readable by JavaScript. Session lifetime: up to 30 days.

3. Analytics cookies — only with your consent

The tools below only load after you click "Accept all" in the cookie banner. By default (before you decide, or if you choose "Essential only") they stay disabled — we use Google Consent Mode, which denies analytics storage by default.

• Google Analytics — measures visits and map usage (measurement ID: G-WS78RVEHLD). Sets its own cookies (e.g. _ga, _ga_*) per Google's policy.
• Vercel Analytics — aggregated page-view statistics that help us measure performance and popular pages.
• Hotjar — session recordings and heatmaps used to improve the interface. Loaded with a delay, only after consent.
• Ahrefs Web Analytics — traffic analytics for SEO.

Retention for cookies set by these tools depends on the provider (e.g. Google) and is not directly controlled by TankTrasa.

4. Changing or withdrawing consent

You can change your choice at any time — use the button below to reopen the consent banner, or go to "Settings" → "Privacy" → "Cookie settings". You can also delete stored cookies in your browser settings, which will show the banner again on your next visit.

5. Local storage preferences

Besides cookies, we store your analytics preference in your browser's local storage (tankomat.settings.analyticsEnabled) to keep the cookie banner in sync with the "Anonymous usage statistics" toggle in account Settings. Local storage is not sent to our servers automatically.

6. iOS app

The TankTrasa mobile app does not use cookies or a third-party analytics or advertising SDK. See the Privacy Policy for details on app data processing (location, push notifications).

7. TankTrasa Data API (B2B)

The TankTrasa Data API dashboard and docs (business subdomain) have their own consent banner and privacy policy — see the Data API privacy policy. This page covers only the driver map and the tankomat.app website.
